Since coming back from my holiday I am in dire need of getting back into a routine, especially as I’m just starting my internship. I thought I’d let you guys know what I’ve been doing to get myself into a routine recently.
First, I have the bedtime option turned on on my iPhone, so I have a reminder 15 minutes before 11pm (when I want to fall asleep) and an alarm set for 6:30am.
As soon as I wake up I go to the bathroom to do my skin routine, if you haven’t read my skin journey blog, I am trying out a couple of Epionce products that were recommended to me by a skin specialist. Currently, I am using the Epionce Lytic Gel Cleanser to wash my face, followed by a couple of sprays of their Purifying Toner. Once I’ve finished dramatically fanning my face with my hands, I use their Lytic Sport TX, which I’m not going to lie, I don’t even know what it does but it was recommended so I use it. Lastly, I moisturise with their Renewal Lotion. I have been using these products for about a month now and I am starting to see an improvement, but for the price of them, I don’t think I can say they are entirely worth it.
Now the boring bit is out of the way, next, I go to make my breakfast. I don’t really have a go-to breakfast, I get bored of food easily so I like to change what I have for breakfast a lot. This week I’ve been very boring and just ate gluten-free toast and butter (I’m wheat intolerant for people who don’t know, comment below if you would like me to write a blog post on this!), but I also like to be more “adventurous” with my breakfasts. Some more “Instagram-worthy” breakfasts I make are greek yoghurt, fruit, granola (before I found out I was wheat intolerant) and a squirt of honey or toast topped with mashed avocado and an egg. I honestly love food, but since I’ve started my internship I’ve found it really hard to make time to make a nice breakfast, hence the toast. Along with breakfast I always make myself a coffee and I am not awake until I have finished it.
While I eat I always put Friends on to watch, it’s definitely my all-time favourite TV series. After eating, I sit down in front of my mirror and put on my makeup while drinking my coffee. My makeup routine isn’t the best so I’m not even going to bother talking you through it, but here’s a cute picture (obv not mine, again!)
So, once my face is on, it’s time to choose an outfit. This is the worst part of the morning, I can never decide what to wear and when I do find something, I nearly always have to iron it. When I’ve finally decided on an outfit, I realise that I have exactly 7 minutes to run to the bus stop, so I grab my lunch for the day, put my earphones in and power walk!
This is literally what I’ve been doing every day since starting my internship. Even with this routine, I manage to nearly miss the bus every morning. Hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully, some of you guys will have similar morning routines as me.
